Mr Kipling’s Big French Fancy!

the-big-french-fancy1.jpg

Fab idea!

Premier Foods are launching Mr Kipling’s celebration cake-sized Big French Fancy in September. I’m hoping it’s covered in the same fondant as the originals but I haven’t found out yet…it’s not easy covering a big cake in liquid fondant.

See this post if you fancy seeing some little ones I made earlier.

Update! …I was talking to the guy who developed the Big French Fancy today (I’m working where he’s working) and he confirmed that he had to go with sugarpaste not fondant (shame!).

Where can I buy a big yellow fancy???!!!! tesco and asda only seem to have the pink ones??!!!! please help ta :)

The yellow ones were the most popular in the factory shop so it may just be they’ve sold first…my stint there has finished so I’m sorry I can’t tell you who’s listing what. (Everyone keep a look out for the yellow one!)

Are they suitable for vegetarians?

Hi Zara, the yellow one is, but I think the pink one is coloured with cochineal - if it is, that one isn’t vegetarian.
