The Joy of Work!
I’m working for Pure Organics for a few days a week at the moment, while they’re busy with new business and in the process of recruiting someone on a permanent basis.
It’s a privilege to work with the diversity of food companies who adopt me into their team for a while and I have a big soft spot for Pure Organics!
Pauline and Gary Stiles built their frozen meal business around the diet advice of ‘no additives’ for their oldest daughter Georgia, who had been diagnosed with autism.
Such a meaningful raison d’etre and their enthusiastic approach has been rewarded and the products they make for Tesco’s and Sainsbury’s as well their own brand, speak for themselves. And in a balanced diet, there’s still room for sausages and chicken nuggets as well as the healthy ready meals, including ‘Free From’ they make.
I’ve been revising the NPD procedure, working on packaging declarations for children’s meals, stirring rice pudding* and helping Pauline determine September launch meal proposals, taking into account gap analysis.
*Figure-of-eight-stirring is the most effective and very relaxing!
