About

Foodolution is the name I’ve given the work I do…food-related solutions, the evolution of new products and development of skills through teaching.

I specialise in New Product Development, having extensive experience working in food manufacturers’ NPD teams covering the process from concept to launch both as Technologist and Manager.  My role as a Technical Sales Manager selling functional ingredients gave me a wide understanding of development and problem-solving across most food categories.  As a qualified Baker and Confectioner and a particular fan of cake-making, I teach my own classes at The Bertinet Kitchen in Bath and Bordeaux Quay in Bristol.

Experience:

  • 4 Years freelancing in the food industry, including interim NPD Management and Technologist roles, Retailer and Manufacturer Consultations, Specification Training /Auditing and Cookery School Teaching
  • 2 Years as a Technical Sales Manager selling functional ingredients
  • 8 Years as a Technologist in New Product Development Teams
  • 6 Years practicing as a Qualified Baker, Confectioner and Cake Decorator
